Collection & Logistics

We pride ourselves for our efficient, well-integrated and transparent logistical practices, facilitating country-wide pickups as well as safe disposal of e waste.

Logistical Processes

As an e waste management business, the lifeblood of Hulladek Recycling centers around proper recycling of electronic and electrical waste by creating an efficient, sustainable channel across the various stages of e waste collection and disposal. We specialize in providing end-to-end waste management solutions – right from collection and segregation to shredding, recycling and treatment of hazardous waste – facilitated in correspondence with our various channel partners.

Our operational model essentially involves the following steps.

  • First, the e waste materials are inspected and collected by our logistics team under expert supervision from the site for which the pickup request is raised.
  • This scrap is then transported to our warehouse where this e waste is sorted and categorized, post-which, it is deported to our dismantling/recycling partners for further process.
  • Several important activities take place while preparing the e waste for recycling.
  • All data is destroyed from information storing equipment.
  • The electronic and electrical devices are then manually dismanted, shredded and granulated.
  •  Finally, the plastic, metal or glass drawn out of the e waste are transformed into sheets and forwarded to other industries in meeting their raw materials needs.
  • The hazardous substances extracted out of the e waste, before or after the recycling process, are stored separately and are treated in a controlled environment through an authorized TSDF.

E Waste Collection

We collect electronic waste and scrap from both individuals, companies, bulk consumers as well as producers of e waste. While individuals include households generating e waste, companies refer to offices with electronic scrap lying around, waiting to be disposed of. The term “bulk consumer” refers to bulk users of electrical and electronic equipment such as Central Government or State Government Departments, public sector undertakings, banks, educational institutions, multinational organisations, international agencies, partnership and public or private companies that are registered under the Factories Act, 1948 (63 of 1948) and the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) and health care facilities which have turnover of more than one crore or have more than twenty employees.

Hulladek operates on a business-to-consumer (B2C) and a business-to-business (B2B) model. Therefore, we facilitate door-to-door pickups from various organizations for recycling and disposal. We also act on behalf of producer organizations, and collect e waste on their behalf, to help them meet their EPR targets (B2B). Producer organizations can also donate their e waste to us, to be adjusted in their EPR goals. To read more about our EPR (B2B) model, click here.
