Hulladek Recycling hosted Kolkata’s first ever Sustainability Expo on 11th March 2023 at Hotel Hindusthan International.
Green Architects 2023 was an exposition that paved the way for a sustainable future by providing a platform to all brands that are working on changing consumer behavior towards choosing alternatives that are environment-friendly. Hulladek brought together a mixed culture of business leaders, industry experts, and policymakers from all over the country. A 10-hour expo and parallel conferences liberated with an opportunity to engage and learn from stalwarts of the industry along with insights on latest trends of the sustainability industry.
Sustainable brands across multiple industries took part in this exposition to reach out to their target audience of environmentally conscious consumers. Companies like Tata Motors, Ather Energy, Screenzy Commercials, Living Pink, Platinum Trucking, Karomi Crafts N Textiles, Greenwaves Environmental Solutions, Motherland Café and Studio, Ad My Bin, Envixi Solutions, SwitchON Foundation, Cafoco Energy Bars, ESEDS School of Design, Ecoponic Agri Tech (EAT.), Satva Packaging, All About Architecture, Nuvkriti, Goados, Sustainable Advancements, Vegan Daily, Anahat For Change Foundation, Y-East Sustainability Store, Shree Farms, Akshta Oils, Vinzberry, Wanderer Nirvana, The Lotus Store, Bourani, Nakshii, Deraj Lifestyle Private Limited and Mystique Dreams exhibited their products and services.
A talk show on Sustainable Mobility was chaired by IAS Rajanvir Singh Kapur, Managing Director, West Bengal Transport Corporation, Mr. Vinay Jaju, Founder, SwitchOn Foundation and Mr. Nandan Mall, Founder and Managing Director, Hulladek Recycling Private Limited on the topic “Has the time for Electric Mobility come in West Bengal?”.
Hulladek also hosted a panel discussion on Sustainable Fashion moderated by Ms. Neela Majumder from Earth Day Network and paneled by Ms. Sarita Ganeriwala from Karomi Crafts N Textiles, Ms. Sujata Chatterjee from Twirl Store, Ms. Sanah Agarwal from Goados and Mr. Aloke Kumar Singh from ESEDS School of Design who also curated a fashion show of handcrafted, natural and certified fabrics. They extensively discussed GenZ’s obsession with fast fashion and the need for them to slow down enough to accept slow fashion.
Mr. Rakesh Khatri, The Nest man of India and founder of Eco Roots Foundation, was the Chief Guest at Green Architects 2023 who shared his experience of building over 5 lac nests for birds in India and also conducted a nest making workshop which was a fun activity for the visitors at the expo along with tarot card reading and caricature making.
