Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, Eastern India’s fastest growing e-waste management company today distributed a one-of-a-kind, E-waste Coloring Book among the children of Sri Sri Academy and Assembly of God Church School in Kolkata and Little Flower School, Kerala Samajan Model School and ADL Sunshine School in Jamshedpur.
Nowadays, the children of ages 5-8 are well acquainted with electronic gadgets. Hulladek Recycling took this initiative to create awareness and consciousness about E-waste at a young age. Idea behind this initiative is to educate the children on E-waste with the help of a fun activity. The coloring book has figures of electronic items that are old, broken or obsolete. Children can fill these figures with colors and at the same time also learn about e-waste and the items that are included in e-waste.
“Growing up we were not surrounded by electronic gadgets. However, now children are habituated to smartphones and tablets. Therefore, it is important that we also educate them on the correct way of disposing these gadgets once they are of no use. Recycling is a habit that must be inculcated at a very young age. It is our future generations that will bear the brunt of climate change and we should ensure that they are responsible and conscious consumers”, said Nandan Mall, Chairman & Managing Director, Hulladek Recycling Pvt. Ltd.
“It is a very interesting concept. I like the idea of creating awareness at this age since children are now a part of the digital world.” – Mrs. S Shunghlu, Principal of Sri Sri Academy
